Bridging gaps in access to care

ACT 4 Health addresses essential healthcare needs for individuals and families who lack adequate medical access. The initiative supports patients with medicines, hygiene kits, sanitary supplies, blood donation drives, and financial assistance for surgeries. During the pandemic, hygiene and medical support became especially critical. Ammucare distributed soaps, masks, sanitizers, and sanitation kits while continuing medical sponsorships and health interventions.

Medical & Wellness Camps

ACT 4 Health organises free medical and wellness camps to reach individuals who have limited or no access to routine healthcare.

Support includes:

Basic Diagnostic Screenings: Blood pressure checks, general physical examinations, and primary health assessments.
Dental Hygiene Awareness: Educational sessions such as those conducted at Sai Ashreya Orphanage, helping children learn essential oral hygiene practices.
Eye Care Camps: Vision screenings and referrals benefiting hundreds in areas such as Mirchwadi and Ambewadi.
Pilgrim Health Support: During Ayyappa Pada Seva, volunteers supported the physical well-being of over 11,000 pilgrims through foot massage and oil application, enabling safe continuation of their journey.

These camps prioritise accessibility, respect, and timely intervention.

Menstrual Hygiene & Dignity

Menstrual health is integral to dignity, confidence, and long-term well-being. Under ACT 4 Health, Ammucare conducts menstrual hygiene drives in tribal areas, urban slums, and low-income settlements.

These initiatives focus on:

Distribution of sanitary napkins to adolescent girls and women
Simple, respectful conversations around menstrual health
Creating safe spaces for questions often left unaddressed

Over the years, thousands of sanitary napkin packets have been distributed across multiple states. The approach remains culturally sensitive, practical, and grounded in respect.

General Wellness & Hygiene Support

Daily health is sustained through consistent habits and access to basic resources.

ACT 4 Health supports preventive care through:

Hygiene Kits: Distribution of kits containing soaps, masks, sanitizers, and toothpaste to street dwellers, daily wage earners, and sanitation workers.
Hospital Support: Continued presence in children’s cancer wards, including facilities such as SMGS Jammu, providing hygiene kits, hot water bottles, and emotional support to families.
Project Jal: Installation of water coolers and access points in schools and public spaces, benefiting thousands of students and workers with clean drinking water.
