About Ammucare
Ammucare is a registered non-profit organisation founded in 2003 in Palakkad, Kerala. It was established to serve people and all living beings with care and responsibility. Over the past two decades, Ammucare has grown steadily across India, responding to hunger, health needs, education gaps, environmental concerns, and emergency situations.
From serving meals through community kitchens and annadaan initiatives to supporting rural schools, women’s skill centres, animal shelters, and senior homes, Ammucare works through consistent, ground-level action. The organisation operates in multiple states across north, south, east, west and central India, supported by volunteers, donors, and local partners who share a commitment to responsible service.
We envision a society where no one sleeps hungry and no one feels abandoned. A society where communities take shared responsibility for the well-being of people, animals, and the environment. Our vision is rooted in dignity, self-reliance, and care beyond barriers of region, background, or circumstance. We believe that service must strengthen individuals and communities, not create dependency. Over time, our work has expanded across India, guided by this simple and steady intention.
Our mission is to serve essential needs such as food, education, medical support, shelter, and livelihood assistance. Through annadaan initiatives, educational support, health camps, skill development centres, and disaster response, we aim to reduce suffering where it exists. We work through structured projects that include community kitchens, blood donation drives, scholarships, women’s empowerment programmes, animal welfare initiatives, and environmental actions such as fruit tree plantation drives. Each effort is carried out with transparency and accountability, supported by documented impact across regions.
Our objectives are rooted in practical service. We aim to ensure regular access to nutritious food through community kitchens, annadaan initiatives, and dry ration distribution across regions. We support children and youth through learning centres, scholarships, school infrastructure improvements, and consistent mentoring, helping them continue their education without interruption. We work to bridge healthcare gaps by organising blood donation drives, supporting medical treatments, distributing hygiene kits, and responding to urgent medical needs. Through skill development centres and livelihood initiatives, especially for women and vulnerable families, we encourage self-reliance and income generation with dignity. Our objectives also extend to animal welfare through feeding, rescue support, and collaboration with shelters. We respond to natural disasters with relief and preparedness efforts, and we contribute to environmental balance through fruit tree plantation drives and clean-up activities. Each objective reflects sustained action and measurable outreach across states, as documented in our annual reports.

Ammucare was founded in 2003 with a simple intention — that no one around us should suffer when we have the ability to help. What began as a small effort has grown over the years through the hands and hearts of many volunteers and supporters across India. Service is not an act of charity. It is our responsibility as human beings. When we share what we have, whether food, time, skill, or resources, we contribute to balance in society. Acts of kindness purify us. They strengthen communities and create harmony around us. Ammucare is a platform for like-minded people who wish to serve without expectation. Through food distribution, educational support, medical assistance, environmental action, animal care, and shelters for seniors, the organisation continues to expand its reach while staying rooted in responsibility and transparency. There is still much to be done. Until no one sleeps hungry and no one feels neglected, our work continues. Ammucare stands as a reminder that collective effort, however small, can steadily build a more compassionate society.
